BIOCOOR Invites Construction Companies to Bid for the Public Latrine Construction Project in Huye
Huye District, Rwanda – BIOCOOR (Biodiversity Conservation Organization), with financial support from Trócaire Rwanda through its Localization Department and in collaboration with Huye District, has officially launched Phase II of the construction of a modern public latrine facility aimed at improving sanitation, accessibility, and community services in the area.

This new phase marks an important step in BIOCOOR’s continued commitment to promoting environmental health, public hygiene, and sustainable local development.
Expanding Access to Safe and Inclusive Sanitation
The Phase II facility will include:
Two toilet units for men
Two toilet units for women
One fully accessible toilet unit for persons with disabilities
A dedicated urinal section for men
A Tourism Office
A Handcraft and Eco-performance shop
In addition to the structural works, the project will cover plumbing, roofing, drainage systems, finishing works, and all necessary installations to ensure full functionality and long-term durability.
