BIOCOOR Announces Call for External Audit Service

The Biodiversity Conservation Organization (BIOCOOR), a local non-governmental organization based in Huye District, Southern Province of Rwanda, has officially announced a call for external audit services for its 2025 operations.

BIOCOOR is committed to biodiversity conservation, promotion of ecotourism, improvement of community health, environmental protection, and climate change mitigation and adaptation. The organization operates in districts surrounding Nyungwe National Park as well as Huye District, integrating environmental conservation with sustainable community development initiatives.

The audit will cover all organizational activities conducted between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. It will focus on financial management, internal processes, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and identification of areas for improvement to enhance operational efficiency.

Eligible bidders are required to be legally registered and authorized to operate in Rwanda, with relevant academic qualifications in accounting, finance, or auditing, and professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA. Applicants must also demonstrate proven experience in conducting audits, particularly for NGOs or donor-funded projects.

In addition to meeting eligibility criteria, bidders must submit all required documentation, including a valid CPA certificate issued by ICPAR, company registration certificate, tax clearance certificate from RRA, RSSB clearance certificate, and a signed proforma invoice with a detailed cost breakdown.

Complete application documents must be submitted no later than Friday, May 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM, either physically at BIOCOOR Head Office in Karubanda or via email at determinedyouthbiocoor@gmail.com.

BIOCOOR emphasizes that this audit is a critical step in strengthening transparency, accountability, and effective organizational performance, in line with its mission to protect biodiversity and improve community livelihoods.
